The company that would eventually spin off Vexus® Boats was Ranger Boats, founded in 1968 in the town of Flippin, Arkansas, by avid boat builder Forrest L. Wood. The company prided itself on developing a number of unique innovations in the world of fishing boat manufacturing, including the first all-fiberglass transom and the first aerated livewell. Vexus was unveiled in 2017 by Wood’s grandson, Keith Daffron, who sought to continue his grandfather’s legacy in the same town.
